Production and aroma

When the cocoa bean is roasted, the cocoa develops its full aroma and the bean becomes chocolate processed. The cocoa shell (which also carries the bean's aroma) dissolves when gently roasted and is ideal for making tea.


Preparation of cocoa shell tea

1 heaped tablespoon per cup ( Pour approx. 200ml) of boiling water and let it steep for 5-10 minutes. This is how the taste and characteristic aromas develop. It can be drunk hot or cold.
